About the ensemble
A brass ensemble that uses the stage for more than applause.
Since 2008, Bjørsvik Brass has gathered experienced musicians from the top level of the Norwegian brass band movement and channelled that energy into creating concert experiences, commissioned works and long-term cultural engagement.
The foundation is simple: quality and joy of playing go hand in hand. The result is a clear voice in the brass scene — precise, warm and ambitious, yet always rooted in community.
Passion
A joy of playing you can feel from the first note.
Quality is not just precision. It's presence, energy and the will to make music come alive for everyone.
Interplay
Projects that build community around the music.
Through concerts, new works and engagement with young musicians, the ensemble creates value beyond the stage.
What we care about
Music that brings us together.
New sounds, young musicians and the joy of playing for others. We are curious about what music can become when different experiences and voices meet.
#HunKomponerer
